Go Go Kioko

You must check GoGoKioko out! Really cute and gorgeous resin jewelry. These would make fabulous Christmas presents or stocking fillers.

Check out Random Scraps

I'm taking part in Neatostuff's promo and today's featured shop is the wonderful Random Scraps. This shop has gorgeous cards and you can order Christmas cards up until 10 November - so get your order in!

I'll be promoting various shops over the next few weeks - so please be sure to visit them and check them out. Here's my pendant!

Sorry it's taken so long to get round to posting about the Art Clay Silver course I did - here it is now!

Well, I loved it! There were 5 of us on the course and none of us had done anything with Art Clay Silver before and by the end of the evening we all went home with some lovely pieces. I made this heart pendant and some matching earrings.

I'm really looking forward to trying this out at home and will be getting some supplies in soon. I've also signed up for another evening course to learn how to make an art clay silver ring later on this month. I can't wait!

Art Clay Silver course

Tomorrow I'll be attending my first Art Clay Silver class and I can't wait! I'll try and take photos as I'm going along so as I can post them here and you'll be able to see how I get on. I'm so looking forward to it and hope the class lives up to my expectations!

By the way, it's suddenly got really cold here in Scotland with snow on the hills further north and a very chilly wind here in Edinburgh. Tilly is cuddling up to keep warm! This picture of Tilly was taken on a slightly warmer day on the banks of the beautiful River Dee in Aberdeenshire.

Surprise Gift

I'm delighted to say that the Surprise 100th Sale gift has now been 'won'. It goes to a returning customer who has been supporting my shop recently so I couldn't be happier. I can't tell you what the gift is yet as she won't have received it and I don't want to spoil the surprise. I'll update again in a few days once I'm sure it will have arrived.

Thanks to everyone who's purchased from me - it really is appreciated.

So, in the meantime here are some cheery gingham buttons for you.

Wild, Wet and Windy!

The weather in Scotland is pretty horrible right now, with gale force winds and driving rain. So, it's the perfect day to stay in and spend time on the computer doing various Etsy things - listing new items, sorting out my photos all the while drinking cups of tea and munching on the odd chocolate biscuit!

Tilly normally squeaks at me when I read the papers on a weekend morning and this morning was no exception. Her aim is to sit on my knee at the dining table as I read, but I'm sure she's never very comfy and it certainly makes reading the paper a challenge. So this morning I decided to get the spare doggie crate out of the garage and set it up just by my work desk to see if she'd be interested in using it. Well, she's hardly been out of it since! It's just the same as the crate that we use in the office, which she adores. I'm delighted she's so settled. Part of me did wonder if the weather had something to do with it though - she's not silly and maybe she just doesn't want to go outside in the driving rain and gusty wind!

Here's my gorgeous dragonfly charm that I'm about to list in CraftilyCharms.

Have a great weekend!

Brand New Charms

Well, my new charms arrived today and I've managed to get some into the shop!

Here's one of my favourites - an antique type sewing machine. There's so much detail on it, both on the front and back. I love it!

New Charm Photos

I'm still playing around with the best way to photograph my silver charms. What do you think of this? It's a beautiful burr elm blow that Stuart bought at a craft fair a couple of years ago. I like the warmth of colour that it gives. Feel free to leave your comments.

New charms coming very soon

My latest order of Sterling Silver charms should have arrived today, but sadly there was some mix up and I received someone else's order! It's all been sorted out now but it has meant that my new stock for CraftilyCharms hasn't arrived yet.

However, fingers crossed they will be here by the end of the week so keep an eye on my Etsy shop for lots of new stock.

PS there'll be lots of new Christmassy charms. Here's one of my 'squiggle' trees to get you in the mood!

Surprise Gift for 100th sale!

As I'm nearing the milestone of 100 sales in craftily I've decided that whoever buys the 100th item from my shop will receive a surprise gift. Could it be you? I can't wait to see who gets it!

In the meantime, here's some of my 'big' buttons.

I'm really a very large dog!

Here's something that's bound to make you smile!

Tilly in VERY BIG DOG mode - well that's what she thinks anyway!

I can't tell you how many times complete strangers have stopped to take a picture of her when she's carrying something that resembles half a tree!

Thank you

I just wanted to thank Two Little Banshees for introducing me to the wonderful world of Etsy. I stumbled across Kate's blog many, many months ago (she makes gorgeous bags and toys) and it was through her blog that I discovered Etsy. So the first blog to be added to my blog list is Two Little Banshees.

The weather has been pretty miserable here again - so I thought my citrus mix buttons might help brighten things up a bit!

Treasury West

Whoo hoo - I just got a Treasury West.

Packaging

Well, I'm making the most of the miserable weather and am getting my Craftily boxes printed and made up. Here's the action in progress!

Tilly

I couldn't resist this picture of Tilly (just so as you know who I'm speaking about!) I'm sure there'll be many more pictures of her to come. PS Credit for this gorgeous picture goes to my gorgeous husband - thank you!

Star Charm

So it's Sunday evening and very, very windy. Almost all the leaves are now off the trees and we've got a huge pile up against our garden gate! Getting out in the morning might be interesting.

So just to cheer me up here's one of my cute new little charms! I got into these when I was making some jewelry and needed some charms to finish them off. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted in the local shops (or on Etsy!) but have now managed to track down a supplier. I think they are really cute. I'm still experimenting with how to photograph them well - it's really trial and error right now. It's not helped by the fact that day light hours (or at least sunlight hours) seem to have been somewhat lacking today!

A brief intro

Welcome to my blog! I'll be musing on my Etsy goings on and also about life here with Tilly (Jack Russell, aged 8 and three quaters) and Stuart (husband, aged 42)

I run 2 shops on Etsy. I started with craftily which is a button supply shop which I opened in July. I've enjoyed it so much I've decided to open a new shop, CraftilyCharms, which sells Sterling Silver charms. CraftilyCharms is less than a week old and not massively stocked up right now but keep an eye on it - new stock should be arriving this week and I can't wait to get it listed.
